Week Long Survival Camp
Taught by the US Army using their course. After a couple of days training your be taken out in the back country with you team and instructor. Experience a true test of skills in a one of a kind adventure. More details and itinerary coming soon. This is an extreme camp found no where else in scouting. This course is also used by several collages during the fall and spring semester.
Survival Camp is a fun way to learn what you need to know to survive in the wild. Classes include: water procurement, food gathering techniques, survival cooking, fire making, shelter building, wilderness hygiene, survival games and initiatives, land navigation (utilizing compasses, topo maps and the sun, moon and stars), survival signaling, and first aid training.
Mason Dixon Fair
On Wednesday night July 11 just after dinner, the camp will be heading over to the Mason Dixon Fair for our evening activity. This fair located a mile from camp is set on farmland, and reminds you of a time and place from the 1950′s. It features tractor pulls, live entertainment, 4-H composition featuring farm animals, bake goods and crafts, demonstrations, and a large mid-way with today’s hottest rides. The camp will pay the admission to the fair but scouts will have to pay for their own rides in the mid-way. The arm band for all rides is sixteen dollars that scouts can buy or pay just for the rides they want to do. This is just another WOW factor scouts will enjoy in camp.
Day campers and troop visits
Is your troop looking for troop events during the summer to keep kids interested in scouting. Plan to spend an afternoon in our high adventure water park. You may bring a lunch, cook here or have us cater your lunch for $5 a scout. We also have a snack shack and pizza palor right on the beach. Based on previous years your scouts will not want to leave. The cost per scout is $20 a person and leaders are free. All scouts should have passed their camp swimmers test and we have life jackets for those who have not. Call us today to set your visit Monday through Friday. We offer discounts for larger troops, call for prices.
Scouts who live in South Eastern PA, may want to visit us as a day camper to pick up extra merit badges, do scuba, and attend our water-park. The cost is $20 a day or $90 a week. Add $5 a day if you would like to join us for lunch and $225 for scuba. Call 443 604 3223 to sign up.
Collage Credit
Several of our activities can be taken for collage credit through UMBC as a 1 and a half PE Credit. Scuba certification can be taken by its-self or with college credit this summer. We will soon be adding this fall both motor boating and US Army week long survival coarse for collage credit. They will both be pilot programs this summer you may take. Scouts must be at least 16 and there is college credit fee and registration. See your counslor at the beginning for this option.

We had an AWESOME visit with you last year, so we booked at Broad Creek. We’ve never seen anything like this High Adventure program within 100 miles of our troop.
Mike and his staff are GREAT! Looking forward to Week 4 of camp in 2011!
