Trek 2: Scuba Camp At Guppy Gulch
Prerequisites: 14 years of age and pass camp swimmers test

This is a camp favorite of the older boys and has been recognized as one of the best scuba programs offered in a scout camp. It is a PDIC International Certification Coarse up to a 130 feet. The only certification of its kind offered at any scout camp in the United States.
This 5 day eight hour course is held at Broad Creeks Guppy Gulch Rock Quarry. This crystal clear treated water has a visibility of 20 to 30 feet. Divers will enjoy this tropical tree covered camp setting with full bath house, pavilion, white beach with palm trees, piers and several camp buildings. Divers will see fish, wrecks, an airplane, two train locomotives with box cars, school bus, and ships under water. They will learn also individual self rescue teq., equipment handling, and much more. During down time divers will be able to use zip lines and water slides into the quarry.
